Mind and Supermind: Expanding the Limits of Consciousness - Is World Peace Possible? Wake Center Auditorium, 300 N. Turnpike Rd., Santa Barbara, CA 93111 Like most Americans, Paul K. Chappell grew up thinking that peace was a naive dream. In this talk, he explains how he learned at West Point and in the military that peace is possible. He also explains how waging peace gives us a more effective way to solve our national and global problems than war. Chappell graduated from West Point in 2002. He served in the army for seven years, was deployed to Baghdad in 2006, and left active duty in November 2009 as a Captain. He is the author of Will War Ever End? The End of War, and Peaceful Revolution. He lives in Santa Barbara, where he is serving as the Peace Leadership Director for the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation. Thanks to generous donations from supporters of SBCC Continuing Education, this lecture is offered to the public free of charge. For more information, click here.
